LOVE YOURSELF IN THE NOW

Wednesday, February 16, 2022

I have been thinking a lot about this lately, and when a friend said something unkind to me recently it sort of brought it home to roost.

love who you are

There was a time when I was very concerned about my looks and about having the best of everything. That time has passed as I have gotten older.

I am on a journey to rediscover the essential me. Inside there is the person that is my inner core, and while finding that core I am realizing that it has led to the person I am today.

I have added to the essential core. There is a wisdom that has grown over the years and a settling of spirit. When I sit and recognize the person I have grown to be I feel a sense of inner peace.

I no longer feel the need to impress anyone by having the newest or the best.

Success is not measured by the wealth of material things, but by the wealth of happiness, love, and self-fulfillment.

How can I not consider myself successful when I have created a family of people who care about this world we live in.

We all need to find that happy tranquil space within. The space that says I have grown to love the person that I have become.

  1. It is so true that in our 20's we are going to college and/or trying to figure out who we are and what career path and then finding a mate and maybe creating a family we are always reinventing ourselves. It is nice at this part of life to just be. Happy Wednesday. xoxo Kris

  2. I am so disappointed in myself when someone says something negative to me and I fret over it. I think...shouldn't I be able to ignore it? But we are sensitive...and that's a good thing. It helps us treat others with care. I'm still learning, no matter how old I get! lol Hugs!

  3. I am learning so much more about myself, now that I'm alone. It's sad how we let others' moods and attitudes rub off on us and then that's what we become. I'm back to nurturing my "inner child", that's for sure! xoxo Marilyn

  4. Maturity and wisdom come with age, so material things we used to consider as part of our self worth don't matter so much. Now our superpowers come from within and being comfortable within our own skin.
