HOPE GIVES US STRENGTH

Hope is such a powerful word.

"The power of hope upon human exertion and happiness
is wonderful."

Finding Hope

Hope can be a difficult thing to find in trying times.

We are living in a complicated world. It is a world where we are faced with personal as well as global uncertainties.

There are many days when I have to dig very deep to find hope, but I know that hope is my source of strength.

When you are feeling at your most hopeless there are tools to find hope.

Even those who are suffering the most unimaginable pain and suffering can find hope.

It seems to arise from the depths of the darkness and bring them back up into the light.

Hope Sustains Us

"Hope is being able to see that there is light
despite all of the darkness."
                                                 Desmond Tutu

Even on the days that I struggle the most, I remind myself of the struggles of others.

The future may look frightening, but hope is like the beautiful wildflowers that grow along the edge of a dark woods.

Their beauty will sustain us through the darkness.

Their beauty will still be there when we emerge on the other side.

There is so much in our world that is troubling.

We are still in a global pandemic. People are divided from one another. There is talk of war. Inflation makes it hard for people to get by day to day.

We have so much to be hopeful for as we move through these trying times and I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Spring is coming. It is the most hopeful time of year

I know that without hope I would not be able to get by, but I do have hope and I know that we will emerge on the other side.

Hope gives us strength.

  5. Great post, Laura. One thing my husband has always said is that even if it's almost too tiny to see, there's always light at the end of the tunnel, and in time, that light gets brighter and brighter.
Without hope, where would we be?
