WINTER DECORATING IDEAS

Yesterday Simple Pleasures was about winter thoughts

Today I thought I would carry over the winter theme into winter decor ideas.

As an Etsy seller I know the importance of supporting the small businesses on Etsy, so today I am sharing links to other shops.

After Christmas, we are all about changing out the decor in our homes, but we are not quite ready to change to spring.

Wreaths

When it is time to take down that Christmas wreath it seems hard to find something that says winter, but not holidays.

I love the winter whites of this wreath that could carry you right into spring.

This pretty red berry wreath is perfect for winter and Valentine's Day.

I have always loved real pinecone wreaths. I don't think you can beat the beauty of objects found in nature.

Winter Mantles

Winter mantles should reflect the warm glow of the fire beneath.

This mantle uses rustic and vintage items to do just that.

Switching from a Christmas mantle to a winter mantle doesn't mean you have to remove all of the decor.

Removing the red and sparkly while retaining the rest can be enough to give you a cozy winter mantle.

Winter greenery and a collection of brass candlesticks give this mantle a beautiful and elegant vibe.

Winter Table Decor

A profusion of candles lights up a table on a cold winter night.

This tablescape combines a rustic vintage toolbox with gold flatware and faux greenery for a cozy winter farmhouse look.

Vintage books, lanterns, and a burlap lamp shade set the winter mood as you enter this home.

Spring will be here before we know it, but while we are waiting there is nothing like cozying up in a warm winter home.

  2. Perfect post! I am reluctant to take Christmas off our mantle, because of not knowing what to replace it with. -sigh-

Will try to take some suggestions from your post. Even if I don't have a lot of those items.

    Sooo... Must get creative! -smile-
