PINK

Friday, August 16, 2019

I find pink to be a soothing color. Pink is thought to have a calming effect.

When the morning light sifts through the curtains I can relax with a cup of tea, enveloped in pink.

The color pink is the color of universal love of oneself and of others.

Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, and approachability.

Pink is associated with giving and receiving care. It's not just for little girls.

So add a touch of pink to your life. You'll be feeling in the pink before you know it.

  2. I like pink. I do not own a lot of pink clothing, but I think it can soften one's looks. I have sheers hanging in the bedroom, they are pink....making for a softness early in the morning. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. I love pink too but I am finding light blue to be my calming color. It is funny how everyone can find what color is best for them and gives them happiness. Pink is so cheerful. Enjoyed your pretty pics. Have a great weekend.

  7. Love your pink zinnias and of course, pink is such a relaxing and serene color, one of my favs. Then again, I do find light blue so suding and pretty, it goes well with my coloring too.
Thank you for your kind words about blogging and for telling me your story with your mom. I am the only daughter, so most things are on my back, hope when she passes this life I will get help from my brother.
It is difficult to nurse old people, even though she's got help.
Enjoy your weekend and big hugs,

  8. As you can tell from my blog name, I do LOVE pink! My bedroom walls are pink.. a very soft calming pink. I've loved pink my entire life. When I look in my closet though, I have very few pink things to wear, which is weird. My house is pretty much decorated with mostly pinks and roses and whites,,, with touches of green. I love the combination of pink and green. Probably 30 years ago, my fave colors were blue and rose. I do love blue too, especially blue and white as is very calming to me and very beachy. But for now, pink is "my color". Most of my paper crafting is done using vintage pinks and greens with some teal blues... I'm always drawn to the feeling of vintage pinks and roses. Love your quilt by the way too! Marilyn

    1. Growing up my bedroom was always painted a pale pink. Most of my adult life I have had very little pink in my decor, However, the last few years I have enjoyed having some touches of it in my bedroom again.

  9. The pinks you chose here are particularly beautiful! Zinnias are a favorite flower and as one who collect vintage quilts, you know I would swoon at that opening image!

Thank you so much for coming over to visit me at Marmelade Gypsy! It's a delight to "meet" you!
