Well, it was just one of those days, just one of those crazy days.
It was Monday and it was irritating and frustrating, to say the least.
At 7:00 am my phone pinged with a text message.
My neurologist's office said my July appointment, which was made 6 months ago, was canceled due to a change in schedule.
If I wanted to reschedule I could call their number, and probably sit on hold for 30 minutes, to make a new appointment.
I remember when they used to call you to apologize for the inconvenience and while you were on the phone they would schedule a new appointment for you.
Not letting that ruin my day I jumped (there was no actual jumping involved) in the shower and then put on my new cute skirt in a bag skirt.
I needed to open an estate bank account for Katy and now that I was finally appointed administrator for her probate I was able to do that.
I would have been able to do that, but the branch of her bank which is just around the corner from me was temporarily closed.
Now what?
I decided to drive over to my bank and see what they could do.
After I explained what had happened they said they could do it. I just needed to get the release of funds from Katy's bank. Trying not to cry I just got back in my car and left.
I seriously felt like I needed a break from all of this so I decided to drive to the shopping center and do some window shopping.
I would love for you to check out my Etsy shop where I sell vintage and antique finds along with digital downloads of beautiful antique artwork.

I'm so sorry. I despise days like this. I hope today will be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOMG Laura you are really being hit sideways upside down and everyday of late. OMG about the neurologist canceling and not rescheduling for you. This world we live in lately. No one has customer service anymore. My friend has been waiting months to get into a neurologist. That is an important part of the body when it is not functioning right and to wait that long is embarrassing to me as a previous healthcare provider. Nuts! There just are not that many neurologist available. Hope you can reschedule soon. Hope you can get Katy's bank stuff taken care of too. Wow to be so sad and grieving her loss and then to have that assault on you with frustration. I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this. I hope you sell sell in your Etsy to help you get past all your recent unforeseen problems like your car repair bill. You are really getting hit. I will if I ever win the lottery remember you. It is a pipe dream of mine to win the lottery and take care of everyone lol! At least you have a sense of humor about life which is mentally good for you. Ha ha a good picture for this post would have been you at Target with every carton of ice creams all in your cart!!!! Hoping the rest of the week gets a little better for you. Big big hugs.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's me or what, but I stay aggravated lately. Speed-demons on the road are a menace. The traffic laws like red lights and speed limits are just a suggestion in my town. The pedestrian and cyclist deaths have risen greatly the last few years, including numerous hit-and-runs.What's going on? A quick stop for a burger results in long waits and wrong orders. Another frustrating thing is medical appointments. I wonder if doctors work afternoons or Fridays anymore. Forget receiving a call back or a speedy appointment. Just one more thing: I think technology companies are trying to make life harder for Seniors with their constant updates, phasing out older functions and the 2-step verification. I know I'm complaining alot--maybe it's the heat.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had one of those days when everything seems to go wrong! I've had those too.. they are SO annoying and maddening. I had one doctor where I had an appointment and had confirmed it via phone, and I showed up and the office was closed! They never did call me to let me know that.. just let me drive 30 miles and arrive at a closed office. I hope Tuesday was better??? Staying home sometimes doesn't even do the trick either, as there are always phone calls that bug you or something in the mail that means you have to go dig through old records, etc. Some days we just have to throw up our hands, and go bury our heads in a good TV movie! Hope the rest of the week was better! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteDays like that are so frustrating. Hope there are fewer in your future. Ice cream always helps!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Laura. Days like that are just the worst...thank goodness for ice cream!!
