FALSE SPRING IN GEORGIA

Friday, January 27, 2023

There are things I like about living in the south and things I'm not crazy about.

One of the things that I love is that spring starts to peek out at us very early.

Wednesday was one of those days that I just want to wrap my arms around.

spring blossoms

Blossoms were spotted on trees.

The sun felt hot on my face as I sat outside and soaked it in.

Daffodils were blooming.

It felt like the perfect spring day. Only it wasn't really spring. It was what I call false spring in Georgia.

Yesterday and today the temperature had dropped 20 degrees, but I will take the tease.

I know there will be more false spring days before actual spring arrives, but I will enjoy each and every one of them.

In the meantime I am working on my apartment.

One thing I have done is clean and reorganize my bedroom closet. I can now actually walk in my walk-in closet.

There were things in there that I had forgotten I owned.

Now I am working on my bedroom. There are some definite changes in there.

The addition of my Great Aunt's desk and my mom's framed Pollyanna game are two new additions.

I will be showing you more of those later.

False spring gave me a taste of spring and I am looking forward to the full smorgasbord in the very near future.

  1. We are having some beautiful days and it does make you want to lighten things up around the house. Love that Pollyanna game....how neat is that!

  2. We have been having above normal temps all winter but the last few days we have been cold and normal with snow. It feels so good to purge and clean out closets etc. You go girl. Hugs. Happy Weekend. Kris

  3. Today was 50 degrees, but so windy. Of course, yesterday it snowed a bit, but overall it's a bit springy here. Love the game, I noticed it right away!
