I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF THAT

OOPS!!

I sort of missed posting on Monday. Monday was my daughter Cary's birthday, but they invited me over to celebrate on Sunday.

We laughed a lot, which I consider to be one of the best medicines in the world.

Tessa and my younger daughter, Katy. Tessa is actually wearing
a dress Katy wore when shootong a commercial 27 years ago.

At one point Cary started talking about a rubber roach that someone had put in her bed a few days previously. Of course the two teenagers and her husband vehemently denied being the perpetrator, but when she got around to asking seven year old Tessa if it was her, Tessa innocently shrugged her shoulders and said "I have no recollection of that".

Hmmmm!!!

That takes me to why I didn't post on Monday. I thought since I was so busy on Sunday that I would just post a bit later in the day on Monday. How was I supposed to know that Monday would have the most beautiful weather.

It actually started off pretty chilly. I did my usual Monday morning run to the thrift store (got some great finds, which I will share Friday), went and walked the indoor track, and made a stop in Home Goods. (I got out of there unscathed)

By then the temperature had risen into the sixties and I decided while I was in Decatur I would stop by Kudzu and check out their furniture. I am looking for a table to put behind my setee and a small narrow table to set by my chair.

I didn't find the tables, but of course there was so much to look at, and I actually bought a glass shade for my converted brass lamp. I knocked the lamp over before I moved last year and haven't been able to use it. Unfortunately it is too small so I will have to return it Friday when I am over there for my chair yoga class.

By the afternoon the temperature was seventy five degrees and  the sun was shining.

I headed over to the park, did my second walk of the day, and sat on a park bench just enjoying all of the people who were out and about.

That horsehead is awesome. I just don't want to wake up to
it in my bed.

It really was a perfect day. I even saw a pink tree completely in bloom on the drive home.

As for my blog, did I say I planned to write a post that day? "I have no recollection of that."

  1. It's so nice to have these beautiful days at this time of year! WOW...is that a doll house or shelves? I see all kinds of little furniture and it looks like a fun way to set up a doll house! I may have to think about that!

  5. That's so interesting that she used that word! It's snowing here. Got out already and got groceries and they closed the acupuncture place where Charlie goes on Wednesdays. I could never forget to post because I follow a pretty rigid routine (I don't know any other way to be). Just how I am wired I guess.
