somebody catch that truck

Friday, January 3, 2014

You know the one I am talking about. The one that comes in the middle of the night and runs over you while you are sleeping, so that when you wake up in the morning you can barely roll out of bed.

UGH!!

It snowed yesterday.  Just enough to make everything pretty and I had plans to get out and take some photos, but I guess I will have to be happy with looking out my windows today.

One of the nice things about working from home is that I can stay in my jammies on days like this and still get my work done. I can list and renew and get packages ready for the mail person to pick up,

and I don't have to call in sick and worry about using up sick days.

I didn't get the pretty snow shots I was hoping for, but there will be other days for that.

In the meantime, I think I will put on the kettle so I can try that new peppermint tea I bought the other day, pull out my new library book,

and think about this sweet girl.

  2. It sounds like a great day to read. We have lots of snow here and it is 18 below today. I wan't to do some pics too but it will have to be from the car it's to cold to be walking around in it.

  4. You got a lot better photos out your window than I did. And the one of your granddaughter is the cutest! New Years Day I had that same truck run over me so I stayed in my jammies all day and read a book.
    Relax and enjoy the day.

  5. I sure hope you feel better soon. One truck took us both out, didn't it? I'm going to start a new book and have some chicken noodle soup. Join me? Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest! Sweet hugs!

  6. Yeah, snowed hard here, sometimes though it is nice to recover in a snow covered wonderland after being run over by a truck. Rest, tea, and happy thoughts go a long way in the snow.

  13. Ahh, the peace of sitting at home. I'm still in my jammies, drinking coffee and surfing blogs. No going outside for me. I just want to hang out in my chair!
