RANDOM COVID THOUGHTS

Saturday, May 30, 2020

Yesterday was a rainy Georgia day. It was a day to sit and gather some relevant and not so relevant thoughts on this what seems like one millionth day of the pandemic.

This is relevant to the fact that I need to somehow get up off this chair and get myself back out on that sidewalk.

I don't know how relevant this is to the rest of you, but it is definitely relevant to me. I haven't sunk to drinking wine for breakfast, but not only am I missing people I don't like, I'm missing people I haven't seen in 50 years and didn't like back then.

This is definitely relevant because we can all use some humor these days.

I can't stress the relevance of this enough. Please continue to wear a mask and social distance.

Well, this has absolutely no relevance other than to remind myself that I was once very cool and that the person I see in the mirror is definitely not me.

Stay safe, my friends.

  1. Hi Laura, Yes, each of the memes/picture additions you show are relevant...love the "walkin' down the street" one as I can relate to singing (though quietly) while walking" in my neighborhood. As these days are passing, we older people thought our last years would be more interesting than this, didn't we?
I think part of our frustration in this new way of living is the remembered times we yearn to return to experience. I always enjoy your blog and look for it in my emails. Thanks, Karen

  2. The lady in the top photo does seem to have your curly hair. I just wish everyone would be kind enough to wear a face mask and not get so close to me. Are they just thoughtless or clueless? Have they been living under a rock? Or just flat don't care?

  3. Oh Laura.
Your post today started my day with a smile. What a great post. Well, guess we are all getting sick of this pandemic. Better to be sick of it than dead FROM it, right? ha! Hope your weekend goes well. Think I'll try to get that Ray Stevens one for my FB page. So funny. Thanks, Laura. Susan

  5. I have started often having dreams that include people I have never met before as central characters in the dreams. They aren't
TV characters that I remember ever seeing, either. This is new for me.

  6. Thank you for the smiles, Laura! I don't recognize the woman I see in the mirror either...lol.
