People say that Florida doesn't have seasons, but we do in North and Central Florida. We even have leaf changes and bare limbs in Winter. Even though at 10 am this morning it was 80 degrees there are changes. Less humidity, trees and flowers changing and the daylight hours slowly subsiding. I tend to remain indoors in the last months of summer because of humidity. My favorite thing about living here is that there is always some green in nature. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Mostly, I love fall and consider it my favorite season and, yet, as I grow older, I admit I get a little more nostalgic and reflective and just a tiny bit melancholy as the leaves change. Your post captures this ambivalence so well!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1791860108829806850.post-45150131463827591602014-10-09T04:57:34.400-04:002014-10-09T04:57:34.400-04:00Yes this explains many feelings in fall very well....Yes this explains many feelings in fall very well...quite a mixture of them seem to occur

Here we had cold, wind and rain over the weekend. But for me the key is remaining in the moment, not looking ahead. Everything is so beautiful now----the leaves, the crisp, cool air, the crackling fire in the fireplace, the blue skies outside, the golden afternoon sun, etc.

We do have to savor each second since life, itself, is fleeting.
