The last couple of days have given us a taste of fall here in Kentucky. Gray skies and temperatures in the sixties drove people, who were staying indoors to avoid the heat, outside to enjoy the cooler temperatures.

I was one of those people. I knew that higher temperatures will be back, because summer has not really passed.

I love summer, but I can't walk outside like I can in the fall and I miss that.

After working in my booth and riding the stationary bike at the senior center I drove down the street to walk in the garden at the Henry Clay home.

The grounds and the gardens never fail to impress.

This little bee was taking advantage of the beautiful day to finish up some summer work.

We will miss you summer, but fall will arrive with her brilliant colors, and we will remember you with fondness knowing that you will arrive again next year.

  1. Those are great pictures, Laura. What a pretty garden. I am glad you could walk through and enjoy it.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week. xo Diana

  2. Wonderful pictures of all these plants. Hazy, hot and humid is still here in NJ. All summer has been like this and I am done.

Enjoy the rest of your day
