Temperatures dropped dramatically into the upper 40s overnight, sending summer on its way.
Fall is a time for one perfect pumpkin from the Amish produce stand.
For freshly potted chrysanthemums in pretty muted shades of orange,
and bright shades of yellow.
A time to sort out clothes for a new season, while waiting for trees to burst into brilliant color.
Fall is here and I am going to enjoy it after a long very hot summer.
I like the way you finished the sentence...Fall is a time...! I always try to do better every year. It's not my favorite season but I love the beautiful colors. You sure found a gorgeous pumpkin! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love fall, but I have been dreading winter so much the last few years that I have not been allowing myself to really enjoy it. I'm trying to do better in each season this year. Love my pumpkins. Thanks.
DeleteWhat a lovely post, Laura...the pumpkin is wonderful...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda.
DeleteBeautiful post! It IS so nice to enjoy the new autumn freshness in the air!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It is so nice to walk in the cooler air.
DeleteOh, MY!!! MAkes me wish I lived where YOU do!!! It doesn't look like this in Texas!
ReplyDeleteActually, that tree is from last year. We aren't quite there yet, but I am really looking forward to it.
DeleteBeautiful post in photos and descriptions.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lorraine.
DeleteFall is coming to us too. Cooler temps. Just started working on some fall decor. Outside the summer flowers are still blooming so that may have to wait another week or so. That tree in the last picture is just stunning. Nature is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
The cooler temps have finally put me in the fall mood. I'm pulling out fall clothes, but it it still to warm to wear most of them.
DeleteIt's a catch 22. I love it but then snow comes. Some are saying a bad winter, although it is what it is, right
ReplyDeleteCindy
winter snow I don't need, but the autumn colours on the trees I'd love to see
ReplyDeleteAlthough we don't suffer from the hot summers you have, I too love autumn. It is my favorite. I just wish it would last longer before the big W comes blowing in and overstays its welcome by about 3 months. Your photos are beautiful, Laura. Have a wonderful weekend.
