A HEAVY HEART
Several years ago I was introduced to the books of Dr. Wayne Dyer, and his words have brought me comfort and a new way of looking at life since that time.
Yesterday, Dr. Dyer left this world after a long battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He was teaching and sharing right up until the end, and those teachings will go on through his books and audio recordings. He had a profound effect on so many people all over the world.
Today I thought I would share just a few of my favorite Wayne Dyer quotes.
"When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way."
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
"Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life."
"What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds."
"You are important enough to ask and you are blessed enough to receive back."
"There is no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love; there's only scarcity of resolve to make it happen."
And this quote is one that has been particularly important to me and that I try daily to remember.
"Self-worth comes from one thing - thinking that you are worthy."
I know I will miss Dr. Dyer, and I had always hoped to be able to go see him speak at some point. That will not happen in this lifetime, but I know he is now happily dancing with the angels.
