If you are going to be entertaining business clients or friends and family from out of town who you do not see often, you should go out of your way to make their visit special. This means making your carpets look like new. Your home says a lot about who you are as a person. Like it or not, people form opinions about you based on the cleanliness of your home. Having clean carpets will impress your guests and give them a positive impression of you.

Two years is plenty of time for dirt, dust and dust mites to become deeply imbedded in the fibers of your carpet. It may even look good at first glance, but a host of allergens will most likely be lurking beneath the surface of your carpet. Each time your vacuum your carpet, all of these allergens get lifted into the air, where they are breathed in by all the people living in your home. Needless to say, people with asthma or other breathing disorders will be adversely affected. Elderly people will also have a hard time breathing.

Having a baby is truly a miracle. Therefore, you should do everything possible to ensure that your baby stays healthy. Babies spend a significant amount of their time on the floor. Since your newborn baby will be in such close proximity to your carpeting, it is imperative that you take steps to have it professionally cleaned. This will remove harmful allergens that could make your baby become sick and have breathing difficulties. You do not want to take any unnecessary chances with the health of your precious infant.

Another thing that may need cleaning professionally from time to time is a fabric sofa. I live in a carpet-free house, apart from a small one in the lounge and a small one in the bathroom. They both go in the washing machine regularly. Norway is not a country for wall-to-wall carpets, l can see that they are very snug when nice and clean though. Trying to impress people is something l gave up years ago. I do my best to keep home clean and tidy guests or no guests. If it's not good enough for family/friends then that is their problem. Almost weekend again, all the best, Pam in Norway
ReplyDeleteCarpet on the stairs and in our bedroom/closet only. Of course, living west coast, we can get away with that. :)
