CRAFTING HEARTS AND WREATHS
In my spare time (not exactly sure when that is) I've been trying to create a few things for my booth at the antique mall. I don't have my sewing machine set up yet so I am hand sewing. I have some great old chenille and cutter quilts that I really want to use so I made these hanging hearts.
I think they would be cute hanging on a cottage Christmas tree, but I also like them for any time of the year in a cottage or country decor. I know I may be repeating some of my photos, but I went to the retina specialist this morning, and as one eye is still dilated and the other one isn't there is no telling what I am posting.
I also managed to make another wreath.
I know that there are a lot of people who can whip out numerous wreaths in a week, but I think my whipping out days are over. I was doing well to get one wreath and a few hearts done. Otherwise, I might have had to stay up past my it's dusk so now I have to get into my jammies bedtime. There is a lot more beauty sleep required these days.
I did kind of impress myself by making some fabric roses for the first time. I just tore some fabric strips, did some twisting around, and somehow I ended up with roses.
This one sold right away, so I guess I better pull out some more of that spare time and make some more.
Have a great day, my sweet friends.
the rosettes on that wreath are great. :)

DeleteVery cute. Looks like you may have hit upon a good selling item.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim. I might not get wealthy when I can only make one a week, though :)
DeleteLove that wreath. To bad it sold I was going to ask how much.

I'll let you know if I make another one :)
DeleteThat really is a pretty wreath! I love the little roses you made for it. That wreath could even be used for Christmas with a sprig of greenery tucked in it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly. I think it could definitely be used for Christmas with some additions.
DeleteI want the wreath. How much?
ReplyDeleteWell, I sold that one for $30. Guess I will have to make some more :)
DeleteI told you you had a gold mine with those wreaths! Love the roses. You did a great job with them.
