blue bird of happiness

Snippets of Inspiration is a small shot of inspiration on Mondays, because a little rain will fall into everyone's life and I believe everyone should start out their week feeling inspired.

"Be like I, hold your head up high,
Till you find a bluebird of happiness.
You will find greater peace of mind
Knowing there's a bluebird of happiness.
And when he sings to you,
Though you're deep in blue,
You will see a ray of light creep through,
And so remember this, life is no abyss,
Somewhere there's a bluebird of happiness."

Sandor Harmati

This is my bluebird of happiness. I found it a few weeks ago when I was leaving some antiques at a consignment shop. Of course I had to have it. You may have noticed that I have a blue bird on my header and on my signature. That is because it symbolizes happiness for me. I am reminded of happiness every time I come to my blog and see it, and each morning when I wake up I see my little blue bird and I am reminded to start my day with a smile.

I hope you find your blue bird of happiness today.

PS: You may have noticed that I am now using a white bird on my watermark. That has a significance for me too and I will explain that in another post.

  1. So pretty! I too love birds and Blue Birds of Happiness have special meaning to me also!

  2. Oh, I love it and it's perfect for you. I stood outside this morning and took photos of a flock of birds in the tops of the trees. They were Eastern bluebirds and so very blue. Enjoy your day my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
