I had hoped to get out into the country today and take some photos, as there are wildflowers everywhere and everything is so lush and green. But, when I woke in the night to the sound of pouring rain I knew I would have to readjust my day. That's okay, because I'm thinking that a day spent at home is just what I need right now.
Right now Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only days that I have planned postings. The other days will just be kind of fly by the seat of your pants days. Many times that I sit down to write I have no idea what is going to come out. It just turns out to be whatever inspiration I feel at the time. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but it is probably why I never worked well in an office atmosphere. Too structured for me.
So today I think I will have a leisurely breakfast while I work the crossword. Maybe enjoy an extra cup of peppermint tea before I get down to the catching up. And as Scarlett said "tomorrow is another day". I'll get some new photos then.
I have been a bit under the weather and missed your great post, I will go now to catch up, enjoy your quiet day, your flowers are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI wish they were mine, Laurie, but they are in my neighborhood so I get to enjoy them Hope you are feeling better.:)
DeleteLaura, Love all your pictures. I have to think of things to do inside today also. My out side things seem to be getting farther behind. . Blessings for a good day of cleaning and sorting, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThe sun came out here for a little while (big storms coming this afternoon) so I was able to get in a little walk. Now I need to get myself busy :)

DeleteSounds good to me. I would love an afternoon driving to the country to take photos, but I have no idea where to go. And there are so many crime pockets here, my luck I'd drive straight into one.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I'm very lucky that we are surrounded on all sides by beautiful countryside. horse farms, rolling hills. Maybe tomorrow after the storms I can get out on that drive.
DeleteI think we all have "catch up" days. I have so many deadlines hanging over my head and I just can't get started! I am not an organized person so deadlines really play havoc with me. I'll be up all night for a couple of nights until I get them done. That's the way I roll!
ReplyDeleteJudy
I am definitely not a night person, Judy. If it doesn't get done in the day it just doesn't get done. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. Good luck with getting it all done. :)
DeleteI hope you enjoyed your day of catching up and sipping on your tea. If it was raining, it was a good day to do that.
ReplyDeleteThe sun was in and out so I was able to get out part of the day and get some outside things done, Now I am waiting for the tornado watch to be over.
ReplyDeleteHeaded over to read yesterday's post, Laura. I am a fly by the seat of my pants kinda gal when it comes to blogging, too! xo Diana
