Those ten letters combine to mean so much.

Have you ever looked at someone and thought, "wow, they are so confident. How did they get to be that way?"

People who appear to be confident may not always feel perfectly confident inside, but they know how to look the part. They dress well, stand up straight, smile, and look you directly in the eye.

It is that aura of confidence that helps them succeed.

Everyone has positive points. I write mine down and keep them near so that on days that I am feeling less than confident I can whip out my list and remember what I have to feel confident about. I also write down the things that are standing in my way so that I can work on overcoming them.

We all deserve to feel confident and good about ourselves. So smile at yourself in the mirror, give yourself a pat on the back, and have a confident day.

  1. I agree with you because this works for me. I want to add one more thing though. We all spend far too much time worrying about what the other person thinks of us, when in fact they are worried about what we think of them. So what I do is always try to find a way to compliment another about something I genuinely like about them. It boosts their confidence too. And ultimately it ends up making me feel better too. Btw, I really love the way your blog looks. I need a blog facelift. Stop by and give me some suggestions.

    1. You are exactly right, Susan. We do spend way too much time worrying about what other people think of us. Complimenting other people is a boost for not only the person who gets the compliment but for the person who gives it. Thanks for the blog love. I just keep messing with it :)

  2. Hey, you're already talking the part! You know what I mean.

  3. You are so right. And it goes full circle. The more confident you are inside...the more it shoes outside. Just BELIEVE in yourself! :)

  4. Thank you Laura, confidence means so much doesn't it. I love what Ashtreecottage wrote, very true l think. Have a lovely day, and weekend Laura. Pam xx

  5. All my life people have thought I'm way more confident than I actually am. But I think self-confidence is highly overrated. We need to just be who we are and get on with life. And by the way, about the Yorkshire Stay contest, I'm stuffing the ballot box. LOL

  6. Ummmm!! too late, I've already filled it up with my name :)

  7. I think years of being told, you have no self confidence didn't do me much good...lol. But I"m a adult now, so I can get over that one. I loved this post Laura.

    1. Thanks, Jen. It is wonderful when we can get past what we have been told. :)

  8. It's so true! Confidence ( or at least the appearance of ) can make all the difference.
