Today I woke up to this.
It is still snowing and the temperature is dropping rapidly. Tonight the low is forecast to be 7 degrees. Now I know that yesterday I said I was waiting for spring or at least a pretty snowfall. I guess I kind of got what I wished for. It is still snowing and blowing out there.
So I'm wondering, since I am going to have a snow day, should I tackle this
and this
or maybe I should just grab some of this
and tackle one of these.
Hmmmm!!! Tough choice.
What's the weather like in your neck of the woods today?
looks pretty, but glad you can stay in.
ReplyDeletewe hit 73 yesterday. dropped to 40s today with a cold wind. no precip, though.
73 sounds wonderful :)
DeleteIt's sunny windy and -16C (about 2 F) here in New Brunswick, Canada today. The calm before the storm. The big storm/blizzard will start overnight and continue tomorrow but our area is only going to get 5-10 cm. of snow (about 5-8 inches) compared to much more in Nova Scotia. Just as well too. We've had enough this winter. So, I'll be stuck indoors tomorrow but I sure am enjoying the sunshine coming in the windows today! It's just too cold to go outside. Stay cozy.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend in New Brunswick that I keep up with on Facebook. I have been following your cold and snowy weather. Windchill here of 2 degrees now. I am staying in, too. Stay warm.
DeleteIt would be the cup of coco and a book for me! Its pretty here in Texas but rain is heading this way!
ReplyDeleteI am currently sitting here looking at the mess. Now if I could just force myself off this chair :)
DeleteWe had the snow, too, and the temps dropped. I would go for the reading...that's all I'm doing! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
It is hard to get motivated to do anything else, Jane.
DeleteLove the idea of hot chocolate and a good book. I spent the day starting projects and abandoning them so I could snuggle up and watch the birds out my window.
ReplyDeleteWatching the birds out the window sounds like a good snow day activity to me.
DeleteWould have loved to have had a day to read and drink hot chocolate. Just did not pan out, but a good one anyway. Down here in Mid-TN have had flurries and wind all day. Take care, keep warm.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Regena. Hope you are keeping warm, too.
DeleteKentucky has the craziest weather! One day the 50's and the next snow!
ReplyDeleteIt really is crazy.
DeleteWe had between 6-8" of snow last night. Today the high was 5. The wind chills are 24 below tonight. Can I come over and drink some hot chocolate with you and read a book??
ReplyDeleteCome on over, Kim. I have plenty of hot chocolate and books. Minus five here this morning. BRRRRR!!!!
DeleteThe weather has been crazy here in MO lately. One day it's 50 plus degrees and the next we wake up to 10 degrees! When it's the latter, I'm all for reading a good book while sipping on some hot chocolate. I haven't read Victoria Holt in a long time. I remember my mother reading them and I'd borrow them from her. They were good reads. Mary Higgins Clark is another! Hmmm. Now I want to go read, but it's getting too late and if I start a book now, I'll be up all night!
ReplyDeleteI read the Victoria Holt years ago and decided I wanted to pull it off the bookshelf and read it again.
DeleteHi Laura, so nice to meet you. I tried to follow back but GFC is not letting me. I will put you on my blog roll and try again. I read all the time too. The floor by my bed is stacked with books and well so is the entire house. I'll be seeing you, Olive
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Olive. GFC can definitely be a pain sometimes.
DeleteGreetings from cloudy Seattle! We haven't had much rain this winter but lots of fog. I just finished reading The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg. What a wonderful book! Much more fun to read than organize. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteellen
I will have to put that one on my list, Ellen.
DeleteWe are at a minus 13 wind chill with advisories out til later tomorrow. It's cold. We dodged a little snow that we were supposed to get and didn't. The snow is piling up. I love winter but this is a bit too cold.
ReplyDeletestay warm and cozy and I vote for reading.
