like most people, I often find myself getting caught up in the daily quest for more and better, and while having a great phone etc. is wonderful I know that things are only temporary.
What matters most to me is the love I have for my family, my friends, for the earth we live on, and for life itself. It is what sustains me. It is what comforts me. It is what I carry with me throughout my life. It does last forever.
ahhh, thats lovely and so true
ReplyDeletePowerful, so true.
ReplyDeleteAmen and Amen, Laura. Have a blessed day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI keep telling my sisters...their happiness will come from within. We need to have our priorities in order too. God, family, and friends. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteSo true, Laura. And we all know that no matter how much 'stuff' people surround themselves with, it doesn't make them any happier. And we better not sit around waiting for someone else to make us happy. People waste their lives in that endeavor.
ReplyDeleteYou have your priorities right Laurie!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. :)
ReplyDeleteCount me in, Laura . . . lovely post.
ReplyDeletepreach it sister! :) Seriously we all need reminders like this on a daily basis! :)

What a wonderful reminder my friend! You always give us something to think about in your posts...I appreciate that! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true! I don't believe that anyone has ever laid on their death bed wishing they had more things, but rather better relationships with those in their life.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Laura! Things can't make us happy. I've seen people buy, buy, buy and they are still unhappy.
ReplyDeleteIt's so refreshing to see that I'm not alone in this line of thinking. I too have been caught up i thins like this most of my life. But the last coupe of years I have learned some new tricks, so to speak. Things really are just things after all, even though we can get attache to them.
ReplyDeleteI have just discovered your blog and I'm enjoying it immensely. I invite you to visit mine when you have time.
