too gullible
too sweet
too kind
too accommodating
too DUMB
because if it is, then I am definitely all of those things.
For those of you have been reading my blog for awhile, you followed the saga of my personal property. The last time I posted about it here I was very excited, because I was told the woman who had my property had agreed to give it back to me in early September. I agreed to give her until then, because she said she would be out of the state for most of the summer on business.
I was making my plans to drive to the beach and pick it up in two weeks.
my family antiques
my children's baby photos
my life
Then yesterday, my own personal deputy at the Sheriff's office called and told me the woman's phone was disconnected and so was her daughter's who was living with her.
Seriously?
Has she really stolen my property after all?
Had she already sold it when she agreed to give it back?
SIGH!!!
All I have to say is
Thanks to my reader and friend Lynn for posting this on her Pinterest board. You will want to follow her here, because she has great pins.
As for me, I sure am glad you all are my friends, because I sure picked one heck of a doozy for one in North Carolina.
and once again I wait and wonder, is it possible to be........
I am sorry you are going through this and it can't seem to get resolved. I just wonder about some people in this world!
ReplyDeleteLaura, I'm sorry you are having so much trouble getting your possessions back. I'm hoping and praying she hasn't sold it all and that you will be able to get it back.
ReplyDeleteOh no! You are probably all those things you listed, but I count them as good qualities. Your friend, on the other hand, is despicable. I'm so sorry, Laura. Fingers crossed that you can still retrieve your things.

How how awful. My heart goes out to you...you at least deserve your treasures back.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this, I have to go back through your posts to get the whole story. Why don't they do an "amber" type alert on her vehicle?
ReplyDeleteLaura... so sorry to hear this. I've always wondered what happened. What an awful person!
ReplyDeleteOh my Laura, I am so very sorry. I was remember when I first discussed this with you I said, she is out of her mind!!! What would she have to gain for being down right cruel?? Some people have no integrity and can't be a good person. What goes around comes around. God forgive me, I hope she gets hers in the end.

Oh that really stinks! It's just not fair that people can get away with stuff like this and the laws make it so difficult to work it out.
ReplyDeleteThis is despicable--how people decide to do such things is beyond me. I'm right there with you on being too trusting. Hopefully you can retrieve your treasures.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that this situation is not getting better for you! Just keep in mind that what goes around comes around. That person will get what she deserves eventually.
ReplyDeleteHope the Sheriff's office can be of some help. This whole ordeal has caused you SO much stress!!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Laura, l am so sorry. I am thinking...is it really possible to behave so lowly and nasty and without any regard for others? Go on being who you are and don't change because of this bad person. The world needs qualities like yours. Blessings, Pam xx
ReplyDeleteI was waiting to see what would happen after a good night’s sleep . . . your special deputy may have just been doing her job, but just doing her job is what makes her one of the special people.
ReplyDeletep.s. Laura, this friendship is also special. Thank you. And now I'm thinking we need a picture window . . . a way big one . . . heave ho.
I'm really sorry to read that, and I hope it'll be sorted out at some time, especially for all your pictures and memories.
