We all make them as we travel down this road called life.
Our favorite neighborhood eatery.
The people who help us regularly at the library, or hardware store, or ....................
The friends we meet along the way that we love and cherish and often lose, through moving away, drifting apart, or passing on.
But, some of the most wonderful connections I have made are the friendships established through blogging.
Then suddenly, before you know it, you are part of a community.
It is a community that can transcend race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, country, and much more.
It is a community of giving and receiving support.
It is a community of sharing and receiving knowledge.
It is a community where we laugh together and cry together, even though we are many miles apart.
And whether those special people write blogs that are big or small or just connect with you through their reading, you know they are friends. You know somewhere inside of you there is a thread, and that thread stretches out and binds you to those special people.
Those special people are you, and every day I love checking my mail to see your messages.
So I hope you will keep them coming, because blogging has added so much to my life.
What do you love most about the world of blogging?
So true Laura! Everyone has been so friendly and supportive! Loved your photos in this post. Have a great week!

Yes, that is so true! Enjoyed the photos, especially the one of the country lane. So peaceful and beautiful. I also love the connection that blogging has brought to me. And I always feel so bad when I've been absent due to life getting a little crazy from time to time. Hope you have a great week, Laura. Love the last photo too! - Judy from CranberryMorning.blogspot.com

Laura,
ReplyDeleteThis post is so true. It is amazing all the bloggers you connect with and have never met but feel you have known them forever!! This is a great community in "Blog Land". You are the sweetest and I love your blog and all your sweet posts. I look forward to them.

Well said. I feel like I "know" some of my blogging friends, even though we have never met in person.
ReplyDeleteYou really did say this exactly as I would have! Blogging has made such a difference in my life. At any time of the day or night, I can connect to a friend. I always have favorite blogs to visit and emails to read. It's a joy to have lots of girlfriends right there, as close as my computer! Enjoy your day my friend! Hugs
ReplyDeleteSince I'm an introvert, blogging helps me to stay in touch with more people than I probably would otherwise. I also learn so much from blogging and see photos of places I'll likely never visit. I love blog land!
ReplyDeleteI love logging in and seeing the words - comments awaiting, so hi friend, I'm just commenting to say I enjoy reading your blog posts and reading about your views of the world.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Love from Mum

ReplyDeleteI love blogging to tell about what is going on in my small world. I also have enjoyed making friends from all over. When I get visits to a new post from someone it makes me so happy that they are taking interest. Great post Laura.

Oh, Laura, definitely the people. I love knowing I have friends in Australia, Holland or just in the next town near by. I also love the creativity that is every where on everyone's posts.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy learning about people in other countries and that wonderful sense of community!
ReplyDeleteDelightful post! You are so correct..I am often insecure at first and then find that people are supportive. Yes, the connections are truly special..
ReplyDeleteI love connecting with people who have the same interest! I find that most people in my non-blog world couldn't care less about my chatter about painting or antique shopping! I also love connecting to people from all over the world! It's so much fun!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Laura- You said that beautifully. We do have a wonderful community here and I love to be part of it- xo Diana
