transformation on a thursday

I am devoting each Thursday to a positive affirmation or to inspirations in my life. There are so many ways that we transform ourselves. It may be through affirmations, by taking a class to learn something new, by involving ourselves in public service, or even changing something in our homes.

I love today's affirmation. It is something I am practicing everyday, although it isn't always easy.

As I wake up each day, I remind myself that this is in my own best interest. I cannot change the past and the future is an unknown factor, but I can enjoy this moment to the best of my ability.

What are some of the ways that you transform your life? I would love to hear about them.

  1. When I need to feel rejuvenated or get a dose of fulfillment I tell myself that I have two choices. Option #1 being happy, fulfilled and making the best of life or Option #2 being miserable and unhappy. Option 1 always get's picked!

  2. I try to thank God every morning when I wake up for another day to live my life. We just never know from one moment to the next. I try to stay away from negative people. I do not need them in my life! Hope all is well with you. :D

  3. Slow and simple, Laura, makes my daily transformations meaningful. Slow my pace to appreciate what I’m doing and what’s around me. Simplify my movements to let those endorphins wake-up to motivate me to make more of my day count. I like the way you have organized your posts into daily devotions and I absolutely love seeing others comment when you ask a question. We are not so very different, your followers and I. It’s a lovely small world in blogville.

  4. I've finally learned to just live and enjoy today. Yesterday is gone and there's no bringing it back. The future is still unknown, so why worry about it? Worry doesn't change anything. I love a quote of Abe Lincoln's that says "people are just as happy as they make up their minds to be". So I resolve every day that I'm going to make the best of it. As best as I can. It may not be a giddy, deliriously happy day, but it'll be as good as I allow it to be. Oh to be sure, there are bad days. We all have them. But the majority of the time, I really do try my best to do as the old song says and that is to "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". Take care!

  5. When I'm having a bad day, I say to myself "Trust in the Lord with all your heart." It helps to put things in perspective for me and to remember that it's Gods plan, not mine.

  6. I think this is a great thing! We all need to enjoy the moment we are in.

All verbal donations to my comment box are gratefully accepted. It is free for you and priceless to me.
