I'm home and
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. My surgery went great and I am doing well.
I came home yesterday and although I don't seem to want to do more than sleep,
I didn't let them over medicate me before or after the surgery this time, so I am more in control of my own healing.
I know there will be lots of pain and physical therapy won't be fun, but I am excited to be moving forward.
#2 daughter came up from Atlanta yesterday and having her here is a big boost to the healing process. She has me laughing a lot.
I will be easing back into blogging as I feel up to it and I can't wait to catch up with everyone. I have 5 kazillion emails in my inbox.
Love you all,
Laura
Glad that you are doing well and able to let us know how you're doing Laura! Sleep and let your body heal!! Glad your daughter is able to be there to help - you're blessed!!

So glad to hear you're home. I think it's just more comfortable at home. Prayers for healing and speedy therapy results. Big hugs!
ReplyDelete24 hours from now my mom will hopefully be out of her surgery. She said sitting at home and just waiting is awful.
I've been thinking about you all day today and wondering how you are! It's so great to hear from you and know you are at home resting. Just take it easy my friend and don't worry about emails or visiting for awhile. I'm keeping you in my prayers and sending lots of extra HUGS! Your buddy, Diane
ReplyDeleteSo glad to lnow you are doing okay. Have been thinking about you. Heal up fast!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that your surgery went well and that you're home recovering now. Glad to hear that you have someone there to take care of you too! That is so important and will help you heal faster. I hope you will continue to do well. I've never had knee replacement, but my mom had hip replacement years ago and they had her up walking soon after the surgery. I'm sure you will be encouraged to "get-up" and "get-moving" soon too if not already.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery!

Glad to hear your surgery went well and you're back home. Prayers for a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to read that you are back at home and doing well after your surgery. I am facing knee surgery in the probably not-too-distant future. I am afraid of having it done and reading about your experiences and the way you have dealt with it and how you have healed (from the first surgery) and now this one, gives me both courage and encouragement to go ahead and get it done. It is wonderful that your daughter is able to be there with you.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Susie
Hope you recover fast! Take your time and enjoy a different view to life!
