I am an avid reader. I always have at least one and sometimes more books going at all times. In the morning I grab the newspaper, skip through the negative stuff, and read from front to back before tackling the crossword. I'm one of those people who would sit and read the cereal box if there was nothing else available. Okay, maybe I am just a tad bit boring.
Since today is Sunday, one of my favorite days for reading along with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,.......okay you get the message, I thought I would look for some reading inspiration places. I am always on the lookout for that perfect place to get cozy and curl up with a book.
Okay, if a person couldn't get cozy here, I don't know where they could.

A light cozy spot to put your feet up.

What a great idea for a front hall. I could grab the morning paper off the front porch and curl up here with a cup of tea.

I love this living room. You have your choice of two big comfy chairs or that wonderful sofa for a nice long read.

and finally, at night, when I want to curl up in a bed for that final read before drifting off to sleep.

I love your cozy spots! Very nice. I wish I read more...maybe when I retire and have more time. I enjoy working on my blog so it seems I spend my time reading the computer. Enjoy your Sunday reading!
ReplyDeleteVery cozy! I especially like the bench next to the staircase. Such pretty pillows and quilt!
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are lovely and yes - so very cozy and relaxing. My concern was the last photo of that lovely iron bed and the beautiful white quilt that is up against the iron bed. I know it's THE style now to be worn looking --- but my fear would be that the rust would bleed onto the lovely white quilt. I inherited my Grandmother's white iron bed - and I took it to a car place. They sandblasted it, sprayed a base on it, then painted it white. It's LOVELY!! It won't rust and it's shiney. The other furnishings, the wooden furnishings are white and worn looking but my bed is white and crisp and clean!
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd shot is my favorite. I love to read also and always have several books going at once. You can never have enough books.
ReplyDeleteOh I love to read and reading in bed is my favorite spot! Just something about curling up and reading that makes the world all better! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteVery nice cozy-reading-spot photos! :D
ReplyDeleteAll of these are so pretty!!!
I like to read too. Although, it has to hold my attention, or I'm on to something else. My mom is a very avid reader and has the books to prove it! ha! Her favorite gift is a book store gift certificate. You shared some great inspirational places to get cozy with a good book. Now that cooler weather is on its way, I'm sure we'll all be doing more of that soon.
ReplyDeleteI am a avid reader, I think the new library [new for me] is falling in love with me finally. I told them I took out a lot of books, and they just looked at me like I was crazy...
ReplyDeleteBut I love to read, and like you, I will even read the cereal box if there is nothing else to read...lol.
Thank goodness for those aps on the phone that let you download a book, to read while you are waiting for a appointment.
Love those spaces, very creatively inspiring.

I share your love of literature. I read a book a day (usually 350 plus pages). I find that by sunny yellow bedroom with the layers of down comforters is quite the place to read, though I'll grab a slab on the bleachers and be just as lost in the book. Ha ha
ReplyDeleteI do read the cereal box too if nothing else is around. I always had a car book, a work book, a living room book and a bedside book going all the time until hubby got me a kindle so now I pick purses based on kindle fitting inside it safely. LOL. Even time spent in traffic are perfect reading spots for me

Your spaces are lovely for reading or napping ~ dream spots! I’m off my usual reading schedule and can’t seem to get back on track of reading several books a week. I come home with a bag full and find my attention wandering after a few chapters these days. No worry. Soon I’ll hit a an author, a series or a whole new genre to end this dry spell. Happy Sunday with a good book.
ReplyDeleteI dream of having a fainting couch someday. I will spend lots of time reading upon it.
ReplyDeleteI happen to love that mantel over that couch too.

We do have that book thing in common. My daughter thinks it is odd that I read while she is practicing softball. She says the other moms gossip...why don't I?! lol
ReplyDeleteI love to read as well and I would love to curl up in any one of those spaces for a nice, long read!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so cozy looking.
ReplyDeleteI could curl up and read on any of these sofas!
I love to read in afternoon at my bedroom because this is the quite place in our home and added with this cozy looking I am sure, I will enjoy reading.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm a bore too - I love to read and could curl up in that hall all day long!
