An old fashioned picnic table painted white and sitting next to a garden shed looks like a nice place.

How about an eclectic mix of rustic and elegant for nighttime dining.

Outdoor dining on the porch, surrounded by potted flowers.

I would love to open that garden gate and share a meal here.

I love this space, but not sure how I feel about dining on a table covered with grass.

and then there is always the fun of hopping on your bike

and pedaling off for a good old fashioned picnic.

These are all such wonderful settings. Especially the one with the lights. But I first saw that first photo in a garden magazine and always loved it. I like the little shelf over the shed door. These are all just dreamy places. I do like setting up and eating outdoors! A fan is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spots! We eat almost every night (my husband and I) outside on our porch in the warmer months. Matter of fact we eat a lot of weekend breakfast out there as well. Not a bug fan either!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Our family uses every opportunity to eat outdoors during the summer months. Brunches and early evening dinners are our fav!

Those are all so unbelievably gorgeous. How clever to use a fan to repel bugs! I'll have to try that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. A fan to get rid of bugs would be perfect for where I live. I'll have to give that a try.
ReplyDeleteOh, your finds today took my breath away! I don't know what to say but each of them touches me in its own way. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite outdoor space to eat?? The front porch. I just love being outside....until it gets so miserably hot and humid here in Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed browsing through your posts. 8-)
Im now following you and hope you'll come visit me and maybe follow back @ PICKINandPAINTIN.blogspot.com. THANKS.
Al fresco dining. Just the words make me long to do it! The pictures are perfect.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your feral cats, Sammy and Smokey. Thank you for feeding them.
The last picture in the woodland looks simply divine. Although since moving to the States, I always equate wooded areas with ticks and that just takes the shine of everything! Lx
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous post! while I tend to vote with your mom, these settings would likely entice me outside. the fan idea is wonderful, I have a friend that uses one while working in her garden. thanks for the inspiration Laura
ReplyDeleteYou have made miss my younger days when we ate outside a lot. From holidays to just because we could. I'm grilling out tonight but I bet we eat under the air conditioner. All the places you picked looked cool in more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I still have lots of picnics, and the dining table outdoors looks wonderful, but the reality of summertime eating outdoors here involves two dogs, a ton of bugs, and a swarm of mosquitoes. Unfortunately. But I know my brother in Denver could do that, cuz they don't have bugs there! (although they do have a begging dog. lol)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous pictures here! I love eating outdoors as long as the bugs are under control. Because we are by the water we get swarms of them at times. But there is nothing better than something on the grill! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSo pretty....these photos are nice to look at while I watch it storm here!!! I want to entertain more outside this summer. Now since Shanley is taking more of an interest in cooking/ entertaining she can help me!
ReplyDeleteNever thought of having a fan outside...well isn't that a great idea. Guess what we will be doing this summer?
ReplyDeleteWe have the cutest little deck/porch behind our house, had a few meals there already...hopefully it will warm up a bit more and we can sit there at night.
