I love roses and I love white picket fences. Aren't they the ultimate in Americana. I know that it has always been my dream to have a little cottage with a white picket fence and cascading roses. So, I have been collecting photos to add to my wish folder and thought I would share some of my finds today.

When the dog bites, when the bee stings,.... or in my case being poked, stabbed and prodded for three days...I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad.
Yesterday was spent in the ER, where my supposed tick bite turned out to be an abscessed spider bite. ICK!!! Treatment on it was not fun and I'm on an antibiotic that I noticed they give for anthrax. Really????
Today I was off to the regular doctor to check on these other problems I am having. Tomorrow there is more poking and prodding in my morning lineup. YUCK!!!
Oh My Laura, that is so scary! I've been seeing a ton of spiders the last few days. I am so terrified of them! I may never sleep again! I hope you get well soon with that! Hang in there, hopefully this too shall pass and at least you're singing.! I'd probably be in the fetal position sucking my thumb! LOL
ReplyDeleteWell at least you can cross anthrax off your list of things to worry about!
ReplyDeleteFeel better! Love the fence and roses in the first photo the best!
xo Cathy
Laura, I would be in heaven if I had those roses in the first picture. You know those old country roses had real fragrance. Too many of the newer roses have very little aroma. I loved all the pictures. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about white picket fences and roses that is so inviting? I love the photos. I hope the poking and prodding goes quickly, and you're soon feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLaura, these pictures are just unbelievable. They are truly stunning I love everyone. The roses going over the fence is just a beauty.
ReplyDeletethe roses and fences are just perfect, couldn't pick a favorite for anything! the spider bite, etc are not so good. hope so much that it is all over quickly and you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It is all about the garden now! What a pretty post.

The roses and fences are lovely. I can't even pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get all the medical issues cleared up in a hurry.
I'm sorry about your insect woes. I want a white picket fence in the worst way!

How I love a white picket fence and roses, throw in a shutter or too and I'm grinning from ear to ear ~ sorry about the spider bite, I too read of someone else having it get infected YIKES ~ hope you feel better soon ~ Judi
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you have had such a suckish day, but I love this post! It has brightened my spirits since I could not go for a walk due to the sudden rainstorm out of no where...according to the Weather CHannel...0% chance of rain! :/

My Gram had a white picket fence and I loved it so!! Thank you for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteYikes, sorry about the painful day. Here's hoping for a better tomorrow.
I love these images and wish I had a place to grow some of those. I have had a rose bush before and the bugs always killed it. I do have some small knockout roses that we planted last year and they are full of buds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fences and flowers. Those picket fences are so classic.
ReplyDeleteYUCK is right! Spider bites are awful, aren't they? I hope tomorrow goes well for you-let us know that everything is alright as soon as you can- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh my! Sounds awful but glad to see how chipper you are. Maybe tomorrow will go by smooth and fast. Just keep dreaming about those wonderful white pickets and roses.

That blue house is a dream!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and I hope they make you happy as you go through all this poking and prodding! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI would live a rose-covered cottage, too. So romantic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found out what the spider bite is, so that it can be treated and, hopefully, heal up soon!
Talk about envy! I can't imagine waking up to this beauty everyday. A rose covered picket fence! Hey, I'd love just life NEAR one!
