SPRING BREAK

I have been having a nice little stay at home spring break. My younger sister Tricia was visiting me from Arizona and we had a week of laughter and catching up.

The wind was really whipping our hair around that day and we were laughing about how straight hers is and how curly whirly mine is.

I think this is one of the most gorgeous springs we have had in several years. The weather has been perfect for the blossoms and flowers and everything has pretty much come out at the same time.

The weeping cherries at the cemetery were spectacular.

The Bradford pears are gorgeous.

Found these dainty purple beauties along the edge of a country lane.

Tricia's daughter, who is finishing up her residency in veterinarian ophthalmology surgery at the University of Tennessee was able to drive up with her boyfriend to spend Easter Sunday with us. They will be heading out to Colorado Springs to begin their new life at the end of the summer.

It was a great week, but Tricia headed home yesterday and left me looking and feeling like I might need a nap. I'm not as young as I used to be.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful spring.

  1. I can't believe how smooth your face is. Where are your wrinkles?

  5. I'm so glad to hear that you had a nice Easter and Spring Break with your sister. You two favor. Your niece is going to have a wonderful career, it sounds like! She sounds like a very bright and ambitious girl. Love the pretty flowers you shared. It's always nice to be surrounded by so much beauty.
