IT ALL GOES BY SO QUICKLY

I can't believe how quickly my vacation with my family is going by. In fact it seems like this past year has just flown by. (remind me of that when January and February are dragging) I have four more days here and I am enjoying every moment that I have.

The trip down was pretty uneventful, except for this wonderful surprise just when I needed gas.

I have to admit that I never thought I would see gas prices below two dollars a gallon again. It was definitely a nice little bonus for the trip.

My daughter, as always did a beautiful job of decorating her home for Christmas. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

Santa had to be tracked as he made his way around the world, of course.

Christmas eve is traditionally pancake dinner night and even this boy I think reached his limit.

It is very important to wake up on Christmas morning with new matching Christmas pajamas.

Listening to 'Twas The Night Before Christmas with Mama,

which this sweet girl read this year.

It has been a wonderful visit so far, and I will have lots more photos to share and to browse over the next few months.

For right now, there are new toys and games to be played with so I promise to visit later.

Have a wonderful day.

  3. Aw, what a sweet family you have. I'm so happy for you. It sounds like a wonderful Christmas there. Our gas is down to under a dollar a litre here which is the lowest its been in a couple of years. Gotta love that! Take care and enjoy.

    1. Isn't it wonderful to see those low prices, Pam? I figure it will save me about $40 over last years trip.

  4. Those kids are just adorable. Glad you're enjoying your trip.

I paid $ 254.00 for regular gas today outside of Chicago and that was low for us. I'd LOVE to see it get under
$ 2.00 here but that will never happen.

  8. Laura, looks as if Christmas was just what you needed. Beautiful grandchildren. I thought I was lucky filling up at 2.29 but you really scored on that price. I hope it stays low as I want to travel in state some this summer. Enjoy the rest of your time with family and have a safe trip back. Debbie
