finding inspiration

I often wonder where people find inspiration in their personal lives and in their work.

Does it come from within, from nature, from other people, or from researching on the internet?

How does someone know where the best place is to find inspiration?  Is sitting and meditating or praying the best way? If you are surrounded by peace will you feel more inspired?

I personally find inspiration from many sources. I look within and without. Often a simple everyday occurrence, like the sound of a bird singing, or the sight of a single beautiful flower will inspire me.

I would love to hear how you find inspiration for the things you want to do in your lives.

Grab a nice cool drink and let's chat.

  1. I find inspiration from reading books, looking at magazines or Pinterest or blogs, being out in nature. The more relaxed I am, the more inspired I feel.

    1. I agree, Brenda. I gather more inspiration when I am relaxed, but I do know people who seem to thrive on chaos.

  2. Oh gosh, Laura. I find inspiration from people, from flowers, from reading, from hobbies, and gosh, from life! We are surrounded with so much loveliness that it's unbelievable. All we have to do is take time to slow down and look! Susan

    1. I do think it is important to know where our inspiration comes from, Amy, because then it is easier for us to tap into it. :)

  4. I find inspiration from life, getting out and about, looking at things from a different perspective, books, photography, living, through what I see, and experience. I love that feeling of being inspired, of the beginning of a creative streak, it's almost a emotion, elation, there is a tension, a anticipation, but it's all good. It makes me feel so fully alive.

But to get there is a journey, things need to be dealt with, life needs to calm down, at least for me.

  5. For me, inspiration comes from many sources. There are times when I feel like the well is dry and I just need to look in a different direction. It's amazing what a change of scene, a new book, or just a walk around the neighborhood can do to refill the well.
