a catching up kind of day

Today seems to be perfect for a catching up kind of day. There is dust everywhere in my house and my bedroom, where I also work, looks like a tornado hit it. I need to do a bit of organizing, mail out some packages, and do some listing in my shop.

I had hoped to get out into the country today and take some photos, as there are wildflowers everywhere and everything is so lush and green. But, when I woke in the night to the sound of pouring rain I knew I would have to readjust my day. That's okay, because I'm thinking that a day spent at home is just what I need right now.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the first "Women Speak" so far. I knew you all would have a lot to say and I was right. If you missed it yesterday you can still catch it here. I realized, belatedly that those of you who follow by email didn't get it until this morning. Please feel free to still leave your comments there. I will definitely respond to each one, and I look forward to what you have to say. Next week I will post it Monday night and that way everyone will have it on Tuesday. It is a learning process.

Right now Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only days that I have planned postings. The other days will just be kind of fly by the seat of your pants days. Many times that I sit down to write I have no idea what is going to come out. It just turns out to be whatever inspiration I feel at the time. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but it is probably why I never worked well in an office atmosphere. Too structured for me.

So today I think I will have a leisurely breakfast while I work the crossword. Maybe enjoy an extra cup of peppermint tea before I get down to the catching up. And as Scarlett said "tomorrow is another day".  I'll get some new photos then.

  7. Sounds good to me. I would love an afternoon driving to the country to take photos, but I have no idea where to go. And there are so many crime pockets here, my luck I'd drive straight into one.

    1. I'm very lucky that we are surrounded on all sides by beautiful countryside. horse farms, rolling hills. Maybe tomorrow after the storms I can get out on that drive.

  8. I think we all have "catch up" days. I have so many deadlines hanging over my head and I just can't get started! I am not an organized person so deadlines really play havoc with me. I'll be up all night for a couple of nights until I get them done. That's the way I roll!

    1. I am definitely not a night person, Judy. If it doesn't get done in the day it just doesn't get done. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. Good luck with getting it all done. :)

  9. I hope you enjoyed your day of catching up and sipping on your tea. If it was raining, it was a good day to do that.
