life intrudes

Are you like me?

Do you make plans?

Do you set down roots?

And then life intrudes?

You make a schedule. You plan your hours, your days, your weeks, your months, your year. You know just what you want to do, but then life intrudes.

The hours that you planned to write your blog posts, to read blogs, to take photos are suddenly filled with other things. A sick mother, who needs help. Tiredness from anemia that no one bothered to tell you about. Hands that hurt too badly at times to type on the computer. LIFE!!! and life tends to intrude.

So, you learn to be more flexible. To adjust. Because life will always intrude and it is important to just sit sometimes and appreciate the beauty of the world around you.

  4. I'm a planner, too, Laura, so I know what you mean there. And hand pain really takes a toll, as does any chronic issue. Wishing you sunshine this week. Your photos are lovely.

  8. So true! Life has intruded on me all week too. I don't feel like I've had as much time at the computer as I usually do. I hope that things will improve for you so you can catch your breath!

  13. What was the question? Oh yes it was about planning. Laura, if it’s not on my to do list whatever it was just floats off into never land. So yes, I do plan my day, but never further than one day at a time. Spontaneity is a happy place to be. Be well!

    1. My plans can be on my to do list and still float away into Never Land. That is definitely when spontaneity takes over :)

  14. Great post Laura, I have learned that life intrudes and there isn't much you can control, that is for sure. Having MS makes you realize that!
