a group hug and a laughing at myself moment

I have been overwhelmed with gratitude by the comments left on yesterday's post. Each comment was so well thought out and personal. As always, I will send an individual response to each one of you, but I want to take my time in doing so, because your comments meant so much to me. Also, just to let you know, Yahoo in their infinite wisdom has changed how I receive my emails. They lump all of the one's from my blog together. I am trying to figure it out, but my responses seem to jump around and disappear. So, if you don't get a response from me or you get one that makes no sense, please let me know. I love you all.

Now on to the laughing at myself moment. If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I do plenty of things to laugh at myself about.

Ten months ago I got a windows smart phone, which of course has outsmarted me at every turn. Last night while watching Parenthood, I saw a commercial for the newest version of my phone and it was about the zoom feature of the camera.

Hmmmm!!!  I thought with my infinite wisdom. I wonder if my phone can zoom? Why yes, of course it does. DUH!!! (some people, whom I will not name never read the instructions when they get new things)

So today's photos are brought to you courtesy of the zoom feature on my phone, which I played around with a little on my walk today. I will definitely have to practice as the focus isn't great.

But it will keep me from skulking around my neighbors yards. Especially the ones with security systems

  1. I congratulate myself for even having a smart phone! I will never use even a small fraction of it's capability. And all the computer stuff is just lost on me. But I scrape by! I read your last post and comments, and agree that blogging has changed a lot. Unfortunately less feedback. It makes each comment and visit all the more special.

  7. I am not going to laughing at you too much with this, I have had my phone for a while now and I haven't even tried the camera, hello, I mean a while. I am no position to say anything about phones, I love the pictures. Your front door looks so lovely for fall and so does the porch. Have a great weekend!

  8. You are, no doubt, familiar with the words land line. My poor little phone was conceived from the original Ma Bell. It’s (gender unknown) plugged in at home,; it’s plugged in when I’m in the car. It never rings. I do get a kind of beep when a message is left . . . sometimes even during the twenty-four hour in which it was left. It’s funny how irate people can be on the phone. My provider tells me I’m in a “spotty” area. Their internet help lines people are so lovely I want to adopt them. Mine takes pictures too. . . unfortunately they will remain on my phone because there is yet to be a program designed to transfer them to my computer. I wonder if there is a zoom?

  14. Laughing at oneself is therapeutic, and hilarious! I can relate.
Also, I have been blogging less.....I do enjoy it, but am short on blog fodder, and we all wonder at times what happens to others, why they move on, are no longer interested in us?, etc. Life gets in the way sometimes, and I am trying to just "blog without obligation"
