hot hot hot

I know, I'm really hot.

Not that kind of hot.

I'm roasting, steaming, broiling...........

Why you ask?

Well, Friday night my air conditioner went kerplunk and it's not just a little fix, it has to be replaced and it was the weekend and.........it could be Wednesday before they can install a new one.

In the meantime they installed this for a three bedroom, three bathroom, two story townhouse.

Having trouble seeing it?

Well I am having a bit of a problem feeling it, too. That is because it is in the corner behind the piano and it cools an area of approximately three square feet. I have this sneaking suspicion it may also be blowing out legionnaires disease.

Okay, I may be exaggerating just a tiny bit, but seriously it is hot, hot, hot in here. It's Monday, it's pouring down rain, and yes, I am feeling a little cranky.

In the meantime, I think I will focus on thoughts of these.

Because the sun is bound to come out tomorrow. Right???

  2. Just when I stop by to see how you're doing Laura, it's to read of your AC problem at the most inconvenient time possible!!! Hope it is resolved quickly, but drink lots of water and a cool shower or two can't hurt :) On the bright side, your cone flowers looks lovely :) Judi

  3. Oh my biggest fear is that the power will go off or the A/C. After last year in the 98 degree temps. It is pouring so hard right now. They are showing flooding pictures of Columbus, our nearest city. Glad I live up a hill. Stay cool.....go to a movie or a library or to a hotel.

  5. Oh, goodness, Laura. I do hope you're cooling off soon. Miserable being without A/C.

  6. Oh, Laura, hope they get it fixed soon! Or it cools down a lot more. We are having a bit of a reprieve after a 7-day heat wave of high 90's and humidity. xo

  14. I'm sorry about your a/c. Hope you get it fixed up and running again real soon! We had that happen a few years ago and of course it was in the hottest part of summer. Take care and stay cool!

  15. Oh that stinks. This happened to us a couple years ago so we stuck a window unit in the front room, hung blankets over the doorways to trap the cool air in the one room and we lived and slept in there for a week. Good luck. An ice pack around your neck helps.

  16. I don't know about the sun coming out, but you really need an A/C man out to your home and installing a new unit. :) I can't believe it's taking that long. :( Go shopping everyday at stores with really good air and eat out. :)

  18. Oh Laura, you poor thing! I don't envy you at all! Been there before and it's miserable! Go to Wal Mart and buy the biggest fan they have and drag it around the house with you! I hope that you can get it all taken care of soon! Hugs, Leena

  19. Soak a towel in cool water and wring it out well. Drape it across your body and after the initial scream when the cold towel touches your body you will start to cool right down to your core. Trust me this works great.
