I watch as cotton clouds fill the sky, gathering for rain.
as I drive through town with the windows rolled down to let the warm wind blow through my hair,
I stop frequently to capture the flowers with my camera.
roses clustered atop a stone wall
yellow day lilies reaching for the sun
white peonies making one last effort to show their pretty faces.
and then I return home to enjoy a fresh banana, strawberry, peach, and coconut milk smoothie out on the patio.
yes, there is nothing so fine as a day in June.
