POTTING SHED IDEAS
Okay, I don't actually have a potting shed of my own, but a girl can dream, can't she.
As a child, I spent many happy hours at the florist and greenhouses that my grandfather started in the early 1900s.
My mother grew up in the house next door, which you can see a glimpse of to the left.

My cousin's family now runs the business and lives in the house, but I retain wonderful memories of carefree days playing in the greenhouses and sitting with my grandfather in the old potting shed in the back.
It is where my love of gardening was born.
These days I diligently pin garden shed inspiration in hopes of one day having my own.
A rustic garden house with climbing roses. Yes, please.
Love the tiny old church feel of this one.
A sweet little hideaway shed would work for me.
I could spend hours in here on a wet day listening to the rain on the tin roof.
I definitely envision lots of clay pots in my shed.

the mountains are calling
It's June. The weather is warm yet unpredictable and the mountains were calling my name.
There is nothing more soothing than a muddy river.
Maybe I should follow it to see where it leads.
But then, the road ahead is so enticing.
and that bench sure looks like a great spot to sit and enjoy the quiet of the hills.
yes, the mountains of Kentucky were calling my name.
and I answered.

What's behind door number.......
Are you as intrigued by garden doors as much as I am?
When you pass by has the door been shut, leaving you wondering what hidden treasures can be found inside?
Or maybe the door has been left ajar allowing you just a glimpse inside.
And then there are those welcoming souls who leave the door wide open, as if to say come on in everyone is welcome.
Yes, some doors lead into enchanted spaces,
while others lead nowhere at all,
If you love garden doors as much as I do come join my new board on Pinterest creatively titled garden doors.

just one of those days
Do you ever have those days when you sit down to write your blog post and absolutely nothing comes to mind.
I mean you are probably not interested in how I washed that gray right out of my hair.
or my shopping trip to
where I accosted the manager because they were out of Udi's bread. I mean really, how could they? I looked at him and said "Don't make me have to go to Walmart (yes, they are now carrying it) because everyone knows how I feel about that place."
When I got ready to leave, I noticed that it was pouring down rain. Where was my umbrella? Well, in the car of course. Where else would any self respecting umbrella be.
No, that is not really my car or my umbrella. My umbrella is one of those cheap little pop up things that only works when it isn't raining, and besides, are there really people who actually slipcover their car seats.
I was too wet and soggy and upset over the Udis to take a photo of mine. So after 10 minutes of meditation in Trader Joe's parking lot, (yes, that was me. I'm sure you have seen weirder things) I drove home.
Where I found this.
Who said my day didn't have a happy ending!!

life's possibilities
I open my heart to life's possibilities.
I draw all that is good into my life.
I release all fear from my life.
I am grateful.
Each morning when I wake up, I start my day with a positive affirmation.
Thanks to Bethany Butzer for today's.

relaxing on a Sunday
This looks like it would be the perfect spot to curl up on this cloudy morning and read the Sunday newspaper.
