Turkey hangover and Christmas images

I am definitely suffering a turkey hangover today. What is it about Thanksgiving? We spend all day cooking and 20 minutes eating and then an hour cleaning up. I think I am going to enjoy the leftovers more today when I am not sitting down to the table completely exhausted. My gluten free meal did turn out delicious though, so it was worth it.

Today is Black Friday, which means I am avoiding the stores like the plague. Hmmmm, is that where the name Black Friday came from, because it sure seems like a blight to me. How do you feel about it?

I had hoped to start photographing the Christmas decor in my house today, but as it is gray and rainy that will have to wait. Instead I am sharing some wonderful images from the internet.

I love the simple old fashioned appeal of these spaces.

I am planning to head out for North Carolina and Georgia on Monday, so I have a lot to do over the next three days. Guess I better get my grumbly self up and started.

Be sure and check back tomorrow, as I will be having a Small Business Saturday sale in ImSoVintage

  4. A belated Happy Thanksgiving to you, Laura. No Black Friday shopping for me! I can't think of anything I would like to do less. Enjoy your leftovers (we have a lot of mashed potatoes, yum!) and have a great day.

  6. So glad to hear that you had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday. I don't shop the Black Friay sales either because of the large crowds. Hate 'em! I'd rather shop the online sales. Love those pretty Christmas images you shared. There is something so cozy about a country Christmas setting.

  7. I wouldn't go shopping today...well, except to the thrift store. They had a sale today, too but not many people were there so it was fun. I came straight home! lol I am decorating a little today. Cleaning a lot! Enjoy your day!

  10. Laura,
I so agree about Black Friday! My aim is not to leave the house unless it's an emergency.
    So far, so good.

  11. I'm another one who stays away from the stores on Black Friday. Crowds are not really my thing.

  13. What beautiful photos. I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit -- even listened to an all Christmas music radio station while sewing oven mitts today. Just not happenin' yet.

  15. I'm like you. I avoid the stores like the plague on Black Friday. The sales aren't worth the headache and aggravation. Your inspiration photos are beautiful. I think I've shared a couple of those on my blog, too. :)
