getting it together

I am trying to get some decorating done for a Halloween get together. I love bringing out the decorations and deciding where to place them

There are witches who cackle as you walk by

antique coal scuttles to be filled

birds in old cages

and spooky houses

It's a gloomy cold day here today, which explains why the photos aren't the clearest, but it's a perfect day to sip hot apple cider and get my house dressed up for Halloween.

Have you got your spooky on yet?

  2. LOL! I haven't gotten my spooky on yet. It's spooky enough for me trying to clear out my closet for the winter. :P I love those ceramic haunted cottages. Where did you get them? I'm also dying for that coal bucket! It would look great at my fireplace!

I never have done much in the way of Halloween decorating as opposed to Fall/Harvest decorating which I am just starting to get in place this weekend. It's sunny but cool here, a perfect Fall Saturday so I should get plenty of work down as I've been much encouraged by your witchy decorations.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

  3. I think I'd hit my head on the ceiling when that witch cackled at me in the middle of the night.... The houses are cute, and the cider sounds delicious!

  9. Enjoy your hot cider. I don't have my spooky on, but I'm making lots of spooky for a craft fair next Saturday (buntings, finger puppets, etc.. with a Halloween theme). I will be working Halloween night, so I'll miss greeting trick or treaters this year.

  16. Oh it IS a good day for you to do that then! We've been having cooler weather here too. It was very windy here yesterday and I needed a jacket. We've been fortunate to have alot of sunshine though. I just put up some Halloween decor outside this weekend myself. I don't decorate for it indoors though. I like your witch and bird in the cage etc. It's going to look great when you get it all set up!
