kitchen inspiration

As I am stuck at home with my knee propped on a pillow, once again, I thought I would cheer myself up with some inspirational kitchens. I can't possibly keep all of these lovelies to myself, so of course I am sharing them with you.

You might not have your knee propped up on a pillow, but I bet you could use some kitchen inspiration too, and if you want to prop your knee up on a pillow, who am I to stop you. It gets you out of doing a lot of things.

I am loving this painted white farm table and why didn't I think of using an old gate as a pot holder.

What could be better than a farmhouse sink with a feedsack skirt.

Blue ball jars and white ironstone on an old painted shelf. Perfect!!!

I just love scruffy old farm tables

Well, I am off to do something really radical. I am going to take two extra strength Tylenol and watch an old movie !!

  1. I absolutely love that old farmhouse look. I have a towel from an old feed sack that was my grandmothers. I always use it to cover sugar cookies in my frig.

  2. How is your knee coming along? Has it been giving you some grief lately?

Love the farmhouse kitchens...we are planning on making our own kitchen table to look like one some day soon.

  5. I sure hope you feel better soon. It's hard to take is easy when you start to mend. I love the big old farm sink in the photo. Hope you enjoy your movie. We've been watching Downton Abbey and just finished the last DVD last night. I'll be glad when the new season starts!

  8. Sorry to hear you're hurting now. But, I'm glad you felt up to sharing these wonderful photos! I've gotten a couple of ideas. I love the gate in the first photo. The narrow table looks like a great idea as I have limited space in this house. And I really love the shelf! Now to just find some wall space to put it! Hope your movie is good and that you feel better soon!

  14. I totally love that white and antique look! The last table is a bit rough for me, but all the others are gorgeous, and make it so tempting to redo my kitchen!

Hope you enjoyed the movie. May I recommend a Doc Martin from Netflix? He would cheer me any time. So nasty that you're laid up. :-((
